Not Alone: The Role of Family
Nurturing a family is one of life’s deepest joys and hardest tasks.  At Fairmount Church we seek to remind parents that they are not alone and that spiritual nurture, both for themselves and their children, happens in community.  Joining with other parents and children on the spiritual journey can be a source of mutual support and enjoyment!

At Fairmount, our family ministry events are intended to help children and parents deepen their sense of belonging within their own family, within the church family, and in the wider world. Parent’s & Babies Play Group (Serenity NOW)
Led by Director of Children and Family Ministries, Betsy Wooster, this monthly play group meets in our church nursery, usually on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 10:30 am – noon (check calendar).  Parents enjoy the relaxed environment and adult conversation, while babies and toddlers have ample space to play or sleep! Come for sanity, serenity and support from other parents of young children!   Refreshments provided each month by members of the Children and Family Ministries committee. This group is open to ALL.  Please feel free to invite others you know who might enjoy this time together.  We hope you will join us.

Sunday Morning Adult Education Classes

Family Planting Event
CHILDREN AND FAMILY CELEBRATION
Plant, Play and Give Thanks for Our Church School Teachers!
All families of children through the 6th grade – come to church in casual work clothes at 9:00 on Sunday morning, May 23rd! Join other families and friends as we plant flowers around the church and pot flowers to give to your children’s church school teachers in the 11:00 worship hour the same day. Members of our Children and Family Ministries Board will serve a hearty continental for all ages! Come and enjoy a healthy dose of food and friendship as we work and play together around the church – rain or shine!

July 24 – A Potluck Barbecue at the Bennett’s!
Join with other parents and children on July 24, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.,, for an old fashioned family barbecue!  Megan and Tom Bennet, are hosting this event.  Please RSVP to Megan and Tom at 216-921-0920.  Fairmount Family events are open to all, so feel free to invite friends whom you’d like to introduce to your Fairmount family!
