Serve Together

At Fairmount we are passionate about serving together - with those we serve, one another, with God.  Effective mission is relational in that individuals and communities grow together in faith and love through shared service. For more information on how you can get involved with the work of Serve Council, please contact the moderator of the council at serve@fairmountchurch.orgThe Serve Council meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.

  • Bridges to Batey 105

    A Mission partnership

    in the Dominican Republic

We have been engaged in ministry with the people of the Dominican Republic for thirty years, working primarily through El Hospital General El Buen Samaritano. In 2014 we committed to a twenty-five year partnership with Batey 105, a local village in the heart of the sugarcane fields.  As we work with the people of Batey 105, we are focusing on relationship building and faith sharing, improving life in the Batey, promoting justice, and improving social and economic mobility. • Greater Cleveland Congregations

Greater Cleveland Congregations (GCC) is a non-partisan coalition of faith communities and partner organizations in Cuyahoga County working together to build power for social justice. GCC unites people across lines of race, class, religion, and geography to promote public, private and civic sector actions which strengthen and improve the quality of life of our neighborhoods. Fairmount is a founding member of this coalition and has been an active participant. For more information visit http://greaterclevelandcongregations.org. The GCC Task Force meets every other Sunday at 9:45 a.m. All are welcome. Contact Ulrich Hopfer.

  • Refugee Task Force

A year ago, in response to the growing international refugee crisis, we made a commitment to support the effective resetlttlent of local international refugees. We originally partnered with US Together, providing housing and assistance to a refugee from Malawi. Our ministry continues to grow. Volunteers are always needed. Contact Pastor Derek.

Serve Sunday, October 15, 2017

This year, like last year, as part of our 100th Anniversary Celebrations, nearly 200 Fairmounters participated in Serve Sunday, when we sought to embody the words of Micah 6:8: “The Lord has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
