In answer to a widespread thirst for a deeper faith formation, Fairmount's Soul Center was formed to aid us in discovering, rejuvenating and deepening our spiritual center and connection with God.

Come, share the journey with us.

SPIRITUALITY OF THE LABYRINTH
The dark days of winter are upon us and we could all use some spiritual uplift and renewal.  Why not explore the spirituality of the labyrinth?  For several years now, Fairmount has employed its own walkable labyrinth as a tool for meditation and reflection.  The labyrinth is well-grounded in the Christian tradition—the famed cathedral at Chartres (built around 1200) includes a labyrinth in its floor pattern.  Wondering what exactly a labyrinth is?  Want to learn more about its links to Christian tradition?  Join Susan Bookshar and Liz Lehfeldt for an interactive workshop that will explore the history and traditions of the labyrinth and how it can become an enriching spiritual practice.  The workshop will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 7 pm in the Chapel.  The first ten people to sign-up will receive a free copy of the study text.  To sign-up or ask questions contact either of us at liz491966@yahoo.com or sbookshar@aol.com.
